We Collect Almost Nothing
DotMovies is 100% free and does not require you to sign up, log in, create an account, or share your name, email, phone number, or any personal details. You can browse, stream, and download everything anonymously.
What We Do See
Like every website and app on the planet, our servers automatically log basic info when you visit:
None of this can identify you personally. We don’t link it to any name or email because you never gave us one.
Cookies? Only If You Want Speed
We use a tiny local cookie (stored only on your phone) to remember:
- Your preferred video quality (720p, 1080p, etc.)
- Subtitle language
- Whether you like dark mode or light mode
That’s it. No tracking across websites, no selling data, no creepy ads following you around.
Downloads & Offline Viewing
When you download a movie, it stays only on your device. We don’t know what you downloaded and we can’t see your offline library.
Children’s Privacy
DotMovies has a Kids Safe Mode for parents, but the app itself is meant for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
Your Rights (You Have Full Control)
Even though we collect almost nothing, you still have rights:
- Want us to delete any tiny log we might have? Just email us.
- Want to know exactly what we have (spoiler: basically nothing)? Ask us.
- Not happy? We’ll fix it or delete everything within 24 hours.
